1955 Chevrolet 150 Series – Chevrolet’s lowest priced automobile for 1955 was the One-Fifty 1500A series. The model name “One-Fifty” comes from the first three numbers of series number 1500A.
They were produced as a One-Fifty 4 Door Sedan, One-Fifty 2 Door Sedan, One-Fifty 2 Door Utility Sedan and a One-Fifty Handyman 2 Door Station Wagon.
The one-fifty models gave Chevy customers the fresh new look of the Motoramic Chevrolet plus the economy of its lowest price series.
In addition the 150’s combined the latest engineering advances with lowest initial cost. The One-Fifty models featured graceful “Body by Fisher” new “Sweep Sight” windshield and new smartness all around.

The One-Fifty models had plenty of roominess and luxury beyond the price. Standard equipment included front and rear rubber floor mats and vinyl upholstery. For its price the 1955 Chevrolet had plenty of bright metal including wheel hub center caps, headlamp rims, hood ornament, door handles, grille plus front and rear bumpers.

Two door station wagons gave large families the roominess and flexibility they needed. Windows sweep around in the rear for greater visibility. Interiors were had all vinyl front and rear. The back seat folded down for additional room. The handsome and practical On-Fifty Utility Sedan had a raised floor in the rear for easy hauling of business men’s samples, packages or cargo.
