In 1955 Chevrolet offered close to 50 different accessories such as heating and Air Conditioning.
Most 1955 Chevrolets were purchased with a heater. However Air Conditioning was the most expensive extra at $565.00 and was not often ordered.
The base V-8, for example, cost a mere $99.00, overdrive added $108.00, power steering $92.00, power brakes just $38.00. Also available were a $123.00 for a Continental Kit. One 1955 Chevy radio was called a wonder bar.
